When I'm not doing photography things, you can find me curled up with a book or bothering my cat. I value family and friends above all else and I enjoy spending quality time with the people I love. I also value coffee which I hold near and dear to my heart. My feel-good movie is Pride & Prejudice (2005) and my feel-good show is Pride & Prejudice (1995). Oh! And my favorite book is Pride & Prejudice...I'm kind of a Jane Austen fan if you couldn't tell. Cloudy weather and a cup of tea is my favorite way to spend a morning. I like to think I'm cute and quirky and not at all like the other girls. I occasionally take up a sewing project that will inevitably bring me to tears. I have too many hobbies and not enough time. I'm a sensitive, hopeless romantic, but I am here to brave the things that scare me most and enjoy life to the fullest. Mostly I want to create, I want to be better, and I want to help others feel confident.

My first introduction to headshot photography was when I paid a decent amount of money to get some headshots that ended up not feeling like me at all. The makeup wasn't right, I was awkward, and pretty much none of my personality shone through except for how painfully shy I was. Feeling insecure, I turned around and thought "I'll just do this myself," then bought a camera. It was not as easy as I had pictured in my mind, but nevertheless I started taking self portraits and photos of my friends. Pretty soon people were asking my rates (wild, I know), and suddenly I was shooting constantly.
The more I photographed people, including myself, the more I realized how empowering it can be to have a photo that you feel confident and beautiful in. I always prioritize comfort and authenticity over posed and fake, because with the latter, it's not really a photo of you, is it? Of course there are flattering ways to position you, but I'm never going to contort you into a pretzel at the expense of being untrue to you. We might not have even met yet, but you are a beautiful human inside and out, and you deserve to feel beautiful too, just as you are. You are enough! You don't have to be anything more or less.
I strive for headshots that are authentic and intriguing. I want you to walk away from our session feeling like you can conquer the world!
